    “Perfection doesn’t exist, because your idea of perfection is constantly evolving. It is impossible, but you can try to get closer every time.” Eugene Izotov is the first Soviet-born musician in history to hold a principal wind position in any major American symphony orchestra. Appointed byMichael Tilson Thomasin 2014, Izotov is currently the principal oboist of theSan Francisco Symphony.
