How working at Primephonic changed my perspective on work

I started my journey as Office Manager in December 2019. I didn’t know what to expect at first, having never previously worked in a start-up environment.

Following my relocation to the Netherlands during the summer, I focused on studying Dutch and settling into a brand new culture with my husband, 5-year-old son, and two dogs. Finding a job immediately wasn’t a priority, but somehow Primephonic and I found each other.., and with that, my whole perception of the workplace changed.

From the very first day, I enjoyed every single one of my new responsibilities, not only because they were inherently fun in nature, but because of the people around me. Working together, across departments, towards a unique common goal made me excited to go to work. I eager anticipated Monday morning and returning to the office, ready to see what the week would bring. How is it that my relaxed attitude to entering a new job market could have changed so quickly into this genuine excitement for my new job?

Every corner of the office breathes art. I love music, and Primephonic is pure music. It’s impossible to be unhappy in such an atmosphere. The Dutch ‘Vrijdagmiddagborrel’ is a great way to end the week, and Primephonic’s feature games and live music alongside the drinks and snacks.

Primephonic cares a lot about its employees, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the freedom I have been given to make things happen for my colleagues. Managing the office very much includes bringing daily good vibes, and it’s a pleasure to be a part of. A company is only as strong as the people working for it; if they don’t succeed, the company won’t either. I have found a challenging job in which I can develop my skillset alongside great people working towards an exciting goal.
